  • Brand consultancy

    Advice on what to do with your brand - both visual and written communications. Development of brand tenets, tone of voice guidelines, and an understanding of the essence of what you offer. I work with creatives in your team, connect you to the right brand designer if you need this, or simply tweak and smarten things up for you.

  • Marketing or new business strategy

    Working with you to develop a bespoke strategy. We’ll identify the right positioning, channels and tactics for us to use to help your business with its next stage of growth. We set goals, and together identify the best way to achieve them. This is typically done through a series of workshops with you and your team.

  • Content strategy

    Developing a content strategy using the overarching marketing approach and a blend of carefully researched keywords and topics you can talk credibly about. We will create content that resonates and media that commands attention, allowing us to engage your audience and nurture potential new customers, clients and brand champions.

  • Marketing plans and content calendars

    Refined from the marketing strategy and content strategy, a common output is a day-to-day marketing plan to help us or you and your team stay on track with the right projects and tasks ensuring we achieve your business goals.

  • Email and communications development

    Email and SMS are crucial, whether you’re selling a product or a service. I design, write, build, test and optimise email or SMS campaigns and automations to enable you to maximise sales or generate leads from your mailing list. I am advanced level in Klaviyo (for ecommerce) and am familiar with Gmass, Mailchimp among other broadcast email providers.

  • A new website or eCommerce store

    Having managed Shopify stores and Squarespace websites day-to-day for many years, I offer services from setting up new sites or freshening up or enhancing existing ones. I typically work with Squarespace or Shopify but can also work in other platforms. If something bigger and more complex is needed, I can advise you.

  • Content creation

    I write, art direct and construct different types of media and communication. If heavy lifting is required we may need a professional graphic designer, videographer or other specialist. If this is the case, I can brief specialists and if required, orchestrate shoots. Ask me to see my private portfolio for more on content creation.

  • Standalone channel guides

    If you’re finding a particular channel hard to crack (email, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn for example) you might need an in-depth review with tactics and guidance. I provide personalised guides that are thoroughly researched for you to complement your content strategy and content creation.

  • Special one-off projects

    Maybe you need help with building your mailing list, or storing your data effectively. Perhaps you have a specific challenge with technology or want to know more about how best to go about launching a new service or product. Ask me and often I will be able to do the work, advise you, or find someone brilliant who can help.

Marketing Services I don’t offer

  • Professional design or videography

    I’m not a graphic designer, brand designer, photographer or videographer. I can create and edit content for you and in certain circumstances this is cost effective and makes sense. However, If there’s time and budget to do things professionally, nothing beats a specialist. I can discuss with you when it’s worth using professionals and when you might be able to get away with not using them.

  • Advertising management

    I will advise you on advertising channels that would work well for your industry or specific campaign but I don’t set up or manage advertising campaigns on Google, Meta or TikTok. Generally, I advise clients to use specialists who work day-in, day-out on advertising platforms and for online advertising, it is often best to have someone or an agency who is familiar with your industry.

  • Day-to-day social media management

    What to do with and how to run social media is a common challenge - clients are often at a loss as to how to keep their social channels thriving. Whilst I do develop content plans and strategies for social, I don’t offer day-to-day social management - there are good reasons for this which we can discuss in your marketing strategy sessions.

  • Performance marketing & in-depth analytics

    I can set up Google Analytics and analyse your existing analytics but sometimes, we may need to look at elements of your marketing in more detail - whether that is through attribution analysis, user testing, heat-mapping, conversion rate optimisation or setting up goals in Google Analytics. I can advise when this is the case and often a specialist is best placed to do the work required.

  • Public Relations

    I would always advise clients to use a specialist in this area. Great relationships take time and skills to build, and PR is no exception. Depending on your stage of business, industry and budget I can recommend brilliant PR consultants as part of your maketing strategy.

  • Website development

    I don’t write or edit code or build bespoke websites from PSDs. If you need a more involved website design and build than I can offer, I know a selection of brilliant agencies who can help.
